EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Sometimes we all just need a little help. Issues at work, or home might be getting more than you can manage. The agency provides for assistance through the Employee Assistance Program .

The EAP is a confidential counseling program for employees and their immediate family members who may need help in resolving personal problems. The program can help you with family, marital, work-related, money, alcohol and drug problems...or any situation which is causing your to feel worried and stressed.

You are entitled to three visits pwer year (maximum 10 per family) and it doesn't cost a thing. You will be seen by a local counselor at an office that is convenient to you. For more information about the program call 1-800-799-9327 - Identify yourself, your employer and your location.

REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION

If you have a disability and need some assistance with your working conditions in order to accomodate your condition and accomplishing your work, please read the Department Manual on requesting a reasonable accommodation.

Reasonable accommodation is a logical change or adjustment to a job or worksite that makes it possible for qualified employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position in question.

The agency is obligated to respond to your request within certain time frames and the guidelines are fairly clear.
